11 Days of Spooktacular Cocktails Sun, Dec 04, 22 | cocktail recipes El Diablo: Day 1 Ingredients 2 oz Los Rijos Silver Tequila 1/2 oz Paisley & Sage Triple Sec 3/4 oz lime juice 3/4 oz simple syrup (or agave nectar) 2 oz ginger beer Grenadine Garnish: lime wheel Instructions Shake all ingredients (except the ginger beer and grenadine) in a cocktail shaker and strain over ice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Place lime wheel on top of cocktail and pour grenadine over the top. Corpse Reviver: Day 2 Ingredients 4 oz Greenall’s Gin 2 oz Paisley & Sage Triple Sec 1 lemon 2 oz simple syrup 2 oz Kai Mai Sauvignon Blanc Splash of absinthe 4 maraschino cherries Instructions Combine Greenall’s Gin, Triple Sec, absinthe, Kai Mai Bay Sauvignon Blanc, and simple syrup in a large shaker, then add juice of one lemon. Add ice and shake for at least 30 seconds before pouring into coupe glasses. Garnish with two maraschino cherries skewered on bamboo cocktail sticks. (Tip: Rinse the cherries briefly under cold water to remove syrup, or just leave on to add a bloody look to the drink as the syrup drips in from the cherries.) RonDiboo: Day 3 Ingredients 2 oz RonDiaz Coconut Rum Lemonade Grenadine Instructions Dip the rim of a glass into edible glitter sugar. Then pour 2 oz of RonDiaz Coconut, fill with lemonade, and a splash of grenadine into the glass over ice. Vampire’s Weakness: Day 4 Ingredients 1 ½ oz 1835 Bourbon ¾ oz Campari ¾ oz sweet vermouth Instructions Add 1835 Bourbon, Campari, and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir to chill and dilute cocktail, then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an edible eyeball. Zombie Smash: Day 5 Ingredients 1/2 oz Greenall’s Gin 1/2 oz Grays Peak Vodka 1/2 oz The Black Dog 3 Year Rum 1/2 oz Paisley & Sage Triple Sec 1 oz lemon juice 1 oz simple syrup 2 strawberries, muddled Instructions In a mixing glass, muddle the strawberries with the lemon juice and simple syrup. Add the other ingredients with ice. Shake vigorously and pour contents into a tall glass. Garnish with strawberry. Berry Scary Spritz: Day 6 Ingredients 1 ½ oz RonDiaz Coconut Rum 2 oz Soda Water 1 ½ oz Gancia Prosecco ¼ blueberry juice Fresh blueberries Instructions Pour rum, soda water, prosecco or sparkling wine, and blueberry juice into an ice-filled wine glass. Top with fresh blueberries. Bat Bite Punch: Day 7 Ingredients 1 cup 1941 Vodka 1 cup pomegranate juice 1 ¾ blood orange soda ¾ cup sparkling mineral water 1 tablespoon simple syrup 2 limes Instructions In a punch bowl, combine 1 c. 1941 Vodka, 1 c. pomegranate juice, 1¾ c. blood orange soda, ¾ c. sparkling mineral water, ½ T. simple syrup, and 2 squeezed limes. Serve over ice. Caramel Old-Fashioned: Day 8 Ingredients 1 ½ oz Copper’s Mark Bourbon ¾ oz Apple Brandy 1 tsp brown sugar 3 dashes angostura bitters Apple wedge Caramel sauce for drizzle Instructions Muddle brown sugar in Coopers’ Mark Bourbon until dissolved. Add ice, apple brandy, and angostura bitters. Stir for 10 seconds to chill and dilute, then strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish with an apple wedge drizzled in caramel. Ghoulish Gin-ger Ale: Day 9 Ingredients 2 oz Greenall’s Gin 4 oz ginger ale 1 oz grenadine syrup 2-3 dashes cranberry bitters or regular bitters Instructions In a rocks glass with ice combine gin, ginger ale, and bitters. Gently pour grenadine around the inside edges of the glass and garnish with scary accessories. Serve with a straw or swizzle stick to stir grenadine before drinking. Monster Smash: Day 10 Ingredients 1 1/2 oz Steel Dust Vodka 1/2 oz simple syrup 1 1/2 oz tonic Juice of 1 lime 5 grapes, muddled Instructions Muddle grapes in a shaker. Add vodka, simple syrup, lime, and ice, then shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice and top with tonic water. Spooky Sunrise: Day 11 Ingredients 1 ½ oz Los Rijos Reposado Tequila 3 oz Tangerine Lemonade Grenadine Orange slice sugar Instructions Rim a chilled collins glass with sugar. Add 1½ oz. tequila and 3 oz. Tropicana Tangerine Lemonade. Float 1 oz. grenadine on top and garnish with an orange slice.
